Nha-Viet Library General Use Policy

Resources at Nha Viet Library are primarily intended for scholarly use.
Creating a disturbance of any kind, (including, but not limited to, loud noise, loud talking, vandalism, carrying a weapon, smoking, inappropriate behavior, viewing pornography or sexually explicit material) will result, at minimum, in your removal from the library.

Computer Use Policy
Library computers are primarily intended for scholarly use only.  Viewing pornography and sexually explicit materials is prohibited for all users.  Failure to abide by this policy will result in your removal from the library. The library computers are not intended for non-scholarly uses such as computer games, music videos, and excessive e-mail and chat and you may be asked to cease these activities.  Refusal to abide by this policy may result in your removal from the library.

 

Children in the Library

Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while using Nha Viet Library.  Children cannot be monitored and supervised by the staff; therefore the safety of unattended children cannot be guaranteed. 

Borrowing Policy

Fee:  $30 a year.
Fine: $1 a day.
Unpaid charges will result in loss of borrowing privileges

Reference books or materials will not be check out.

Borrowers can check out maximum 3 books at a time for 3 weeks.  The loan period for some materials can be renewed for additional 2 times. Renewal may be blocked if another person has requested the item. To renew an item, visit Nha Viet Library or call 281-498-8438.   Borrowers are responsible for returning library materials in good condition.  Replacement costs will be charged for damaged materials.

Please return or renew materials before the due date to avoid late or lost item charges.
